uberfun p2
Note the time of this posting.
Then consider the following.
<< uberfun | Main | dr mario >> 05:42 AM by RobFell asleep around 1:15am Saturday morning, after thinking my heart was going to burst. More of that chest pain stuff, but it lasted at least half an hour. Became less of a new exciting thing and more of an ow I want to breathe properly, go away type of thing. Finally fell asleep.
Woke up at 7:15am, got ready, got picked up, drove, arrived at the campus around 9:10am.
Orientation Leader training sessions from 9:00-12:30pm.
Lunch 12:30-1:00pm.
More training sessions until 5:00pm.
Practice for 'talent' show until 6:00pm, then dinner and setting up until 7:30pm.
Talent show 7:30pm to 9:35pm. I be like. Hmm. Takes at least 40minutes to get home, I'm supposed to be at work at 10. *call work... no answer.* Walk to the van (carpooling).. have people dropped off before me....
Get to mcdonalds around 10:34. Manager be like ahh robert! I didn't know if you were coming or not! But you're here! (that manager likes me and I like her, and COME ON, it was my first time being late since I started working there, and it was an extremely valid reason.)
Then I found out that my day was going to get even more fun, as the restaurant would be operated by 3 people including myself, from 12:30am until 5:00am (24 drivethrough). 3 people. 2 doing customer stuff, me in the kitchen cooking food, preparing orders, making sure I have the things I need, AND cleaning the entire kitchen, setting up for breakfast, and not freaking out. Oh. And I couldn't have a break because of the limited number of employees working. (there's usually 2 in the kitchen and 4 on window/drivethrough). OH, oh oh, and to make it better, the orders did not have segments of time between them until 3:15am. Just one after the other after the other after the HURRY UP, THEY'RE IMPATIENT!. Some around 2:45 consisted of at least 10 or 12 items, and it was about 5 orders in a row like that. I saw some plastic flowers on one of the cars - musta been a classy wedding reception.
So basically, I just got home 16 minutes ago, and this is my first chance to sit and relax (and realize just how much my back hurts.)
Apart from all the negatives, the training was actually uberfun, like the title states. It felt like a real university with real students, not my crazy little "advanced highschool" feel to it (eg. the class sizes/structure/campus) with the vast majority of students being severely immature. It was also just very lively and energetic and it rubbed off on me and I want to be around lively/energetic people now. Oh yes, and there were girls there! (not like the what... 65:1 ratio of male to female at my campus (and you think I'm kidding...))
I need to sleep: If going to church later today, I should be waking up in 2 hours or so, but mom tells me to sleep in. Watch it be a sermon on how suddenly we are to support homosexuality and have found the 1 reason why, but will never reveal it again. Or maybe not. I choose sleeping in. This was long and ranty.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaand scene.
orientation week is killing me, i cant imagine having to work all night after a full day at school!!
