maybe later

i don't want to be here.

i really don't.

it's more than just.. the work,
i just have 0 interest in all but 1 course - I cannot take any others than the ones I am in if I want to get the degree, it's all planned out for us beforehand - and don't want to waste more of my life here.

I don't wish that I never came here, because it has shown me what I'm really interested.

I want to understand people; the things we do; the reasons we do them. I don't want to show my ability in creating business proposals, or using max msp. I want to read insightful literature and write even more insightful responses.

But what's my next move? It's not a decision to be taken lightly. I don't want to simply take time off, for the summer was long enough for that. Can't I just go and learn somewhere and feel excited about it? The kind of learning where one has no desire to stop.

Some of this has no doubt come about after watching the first half of a Freud vs. C.S. Lewis special on PBS. It was really enjoyable and I want more.

major is "interaction design" - basically designing for users over time. not just making pretty pictures.

but there's too much technology involved. i want to go focus on sociology/psychology like i mentioned last month, THEN i can come back to design. background of knowing how people act/what they like merged with design skills is better for me than technological innovation + management merged with design.

Hey Rob,
Well. You've come to a realization about where you are. NOW what are you going to do with it? Like I tried to tell you earlier, make sure you know where you are and that you're not wasting your time on classes that won't get you anywhere, or that you just dont enjoy.

So if you dont like those classes have you reached the last days to drop classes? or are you stuck now? Maybe you should reconsider your major and really find out what "Moves" you from the inside. What IS YOUR PASSION.

Good luck, keep us posted.

I was an interpersonal communication major in school - studied how people interact with each other. I loved it. You might be interested in taking some classes...
