part deux
This morning I met with the academic advisor to discuss possibilities. She was very helpful, and I'm definately glad I spent the time to see her. We went over the courses I've taken, and looked into other programs up at the main campus. Turns out, depending on what I transfer into (if I transfer anywhere) I could have as many as 54 of 60 transferrable credits... which means I'd only be a few courses behind other students who started in that program at the same time as I started in mine. This is always good, cause then I wouldn't have to be stuck with some of my younger sis' friends in classes... I could actually be in most with folks my own age and maturity.
<< permutation | Main | harmonium >> 06:11 PM by RobWe also talked about pro's and con's of leaving for a year, or simply leaving and not returning. I like the year idea, and I like the idea of transferring to another program, but not another school. Although I really dislike this university as a whole, I would receive barely any recognized transferrable credits if I go to another school.
Besides, I can always just follow that 2nd degree after whatever this one turns out to be.
I then had my interview at EA. It went really well; I was relaxed and didn't mumble or take 5 minutes to think of answers to questions. The main thing I wasn't pleased with, was my not bringing of references. He asked if the woman I talked to on the phone mentioned to bring them in, I said no, so he understood but I could still see he was disappointed. He gave me his email and said to send them if I don't hear from her within a few days.
We wrap it up, I head home. When I get here I check my phone to see that someone with the first 3 company phone digits had called at 3:50 (my interview was probably from 3:35-3:48). She left a message saying I probably wasn't home yet, but to get back to her to arrange for a 2nd interview tomorrow.
Sweet deal, says me. So now I go scramble around trying to find references between doing assignments I didn't think I'd have to end up doing, and going to church in 15minutes, for 2 hours. And then class all tomorrow morning. Bah!
I feel good though. I feel really good. I'll feel really crappy if I don't get the job. I hope I get the job. Besides, I have some university education - what other game playing bum can say that.
christopher! is not a bum and he has a degree!! way to prod!
