it's in the game

Well?

It's different. I'm still trying to adjust to this whole workday thing. I leave the house at 7:30am, get to enjoy the sunrise and traffic jams on the way to the skytrain, and get some exercise walking up the hill to the studio. After work, I get that exercise again walking down the hill, and have time to enjoy the sunset on the ride home; walking in the door between 6:30 and 7:30pm. Food is then consumed, television is watched, a little computer time, and then it's in bed with the lights out by 11pm. And this is a regular day, just wait till overtime starts.

But you know what? It's fun. It's different. I wanted a change, and boy have I received a change. Most people seem really cool no matter what floor they're on. I'm still pretty (read: very) quiet almost all the time, giving out a little "okay" here or there; I figure I'm still trying to adjust and hope I'll start being a real person when I'm a little more comfortable.

It's also hard because I'll not really near anyone I should be working with, (we'll all be moving on Monday), so I guess I just figure I don't have to talk to these folks a lot and don't want to waste befriending energy? *shrug*

Another thing I've noticed is free time - not much of it, but I mean time I don't have to think about anything at all. During school there were always pending assignments requiring my attention. Now, when I'm not at work, my mind is free to shut down whenever it wants. This is cool, cause it means I have time to read books, and I also want to get an ipod so I can listen to my musiks (no music files at work, and only about 4 or 5 hours at home before sleep means I barely listen to anything now).

Similar to Paul's experience regarding the "Antisocial Twat", I've really pushed away from using this computer after work. I'm on one for about 8 hours straight, so by the time I get home I just really want to lay back and do nothing. The bad part is that I don't talk to people now (except family, of course, yey living at home). MSN use isn't recommended at work, and after work I don't care, so I'm on it maybe 1 hour a day now, as opposed to my ..ehh 10hr a day before (including at school time). Which is nice. But I need some real life people to talk to in place of that, and I also can't let the friends I only talk to on msn, or school friends, slip away.

Oh well. Family Guy is on.
heh. I've already developed a nightly schedule. Eat, filler tv depending on when I arrived home, Daily Planet at 8, Family Guy, Futurama from 9-10, and then computer/snack filler time before jesus time at 10:30 and sleep at 11.

It's fun!

It'll be even more fun in 3 weeks when I get my first paycheque!

Lastly, thanks for the nice comments on the design (august sun). It's so easy on the eyes, and has a very comfortable aura.

The working life is good and bad. I miss the variety of school years, but I like the stability of a 9-5 job (and the paycheck helps).

So what kind of stuff are you working on? Or is it top secret? :)

hey...
Sounds like you found a groove that works. And that is good. Change is good sometimes. As long as you take time to take care of You. Mentally and spiritually. Yeah, what are you working on these days?? Keep it simple and all will be well.

Yes, August Sun is beautiful. We had a day like that today in Montreal. The sun was at just the right place, amid colored trees and the blue sky. It was great. I hope to get some pics tomorrow for my blog.

What, you talk to me when you've seen me on the bus and skytrain and bus home. Aren't I entertaining enough? Hahaha.

After spending the entire day in front of a computer, talking to a guy who is in a computer program is adequate. Isn't it? Heh.

Although I like the change too. Don't get me wrong, MSN chat is good fun and all, but it's good to see you in person at a predictable time. (Well, you won't see me on your late days. Heh.)

Have fun with the REAL weekend!
