academic reflection
SFU is built on something of a mountain, so it is often up in the clouds and the rain and the gloom while the rest of the city enjoys sun. Sometimes, however, we're lucky enough to switch that around and get our share of sunshine. Earlier this week we got to experience that change, the the outcome was amazing. The air was completely still, the sky almost completely blue, and the sun was as bright and almost warm as one would expect it to be in September. Perhaps the most amazing part of this, was how the entire city was covered in a layer of fog so dense that it looked like we were sitting on top of the clouds... although I suppose, literally, we were.

Hopefully I'll be able to actually get some going now, and let you all share in my life just a little bit more visually. They won't be edited at all, so I apologize in advance if some horizons are slightly off level, or if the colours aren't as good as they could be.
I don't yet know how often I'll post them, or whether or not I'll choose to include them in the posts (maybe I'll start another section after the top "showcase" post to include photos in?), so there is still some thinking involved. I'm happy that I've finally found an easy way to do it. All it took was MT, Flickr, Ecto, 1001, and a little bit of setting up. Huzzah!
Just a quick update on the website: I've finished working all the pages into the new structure, and modded the old design a tad so it would also work - which is to say that if you don't care for this look, select the old style from the link on the side menu. I'll try to fix up a few of the older styles so they'll fit as well, but that'll take time.
I guess the last thing I have to say, is if you have any comments/suggestions/critisisms on this design, please let me know. (Is this text too small or hard to read? Does it have buggy displays on your system? - I know IE on windows PCs mess up a bit by showing some layers beneath others, but that's no biggie to me.)
Okay, one more very last thing. I've sort of got the photoblog up and running, without a design. It's Child Of Eden.
Hey,
I just found out about your blog and I find it terrific. I love your layout as well as what you write. I've read a few of your past entries and all I can say is that you're not alone.
About your layout now, it's really good. I love the colours you used, how everything looks green-grey-ish. (Both are my favourite colours.) To me it's fine, nothing should be adjusted. Keep up the good work,
Cheers!

I did have to increase the text size in my browser, though. It was really small and difficult to read, especially on my little laptop. Other than that, it looks good.
